Team Stories - Prince George

EDI focuses on Living Things and Where They Live. Down to Earth Biology: terrestrial, aquatic, and water sciences define our cornerstone disciplines. From baseline inventories, impact assessments, and mitigation planning to construction environmental monitoring and environmental management plans during operations - we're prepared to design and implement a program tailored to your project needs.

EDI started in Prince George (PG) in 1994, and the office remains our vibrant corporate administration support center. As a company with northern roots, we are different in that we truly understand the landscapes, features, and species that are here, and we collaborate well with the people that we work with. We understand what is important, and why.

With a focus on Biophysical, Geophysical and Human Environment, the PG team includes specialists in aquatic and terrestrial biology; soil, erosion control and water; Geographic Information Services (GIS); environmental assessment and monitoring; habitat restoration; and training. We have experience working in numerous sectors including: mining, renewables, oil and gas, transportation, linear projects, forestry, and agriculture across all seasons.

Like all EDI offices, EDI PG is committed to the place we live and work. Some of the community events we support are:

  • Canadian Cancer Society
  • Bike to Work Week Prince George
  • Elizabeth Fry Society - Adopt a Family Christmas Hamper
  • Prince George Youth Soccer Association
  • Salvation Army Tree of Lights
  • UNBC Environmental Engineering Students - Western Engineering Competition

In the traditional home of the Lheidli T'enneh , Prince George is widely known as the capital of northern British Columbia, and EDI is proud to have its Corporate Administration Centre here.
