Professional Development:

• EDI supports the career aspirations of employees. Supervisors work with their team members via evolving professional development plans, supporting growth and training. Many of EDI’s current leaders started at EDI on a technical level and have worked their way into leadership roles. EDI also covers fees for professional memberships and relevant training.

Ownership: 

• EDI is 100% employee owned, and over half of our employees have a stake in the company. Permanent team members, who have spent over 6 months with EDI, are offered shares on an annual basis.

Healthy Living: 

• One of the ways EDI supports active lifestyles is by having an annual activity challenge in May where teams and individuals compete for prizes. Most offices also offer convenient showers and bike storage, for those who use foot power to get to work.  EDI often encourages and supports staff teams in local events, such as the Prince George Iceman, Power to Summit (fundraiser for Power to Be) and Whitehorse Hut to Hut Cross Country Ski.

Social Events:

• Our employees work hard, but know how to have fun. To foster camaraderie among team members, we host and encourage a range of group activities, such as lunch clubs, family barbeques, afternoon sporting events and after-work activities (e.g. disc golf, bowling, biking, fishing, skiing).

Work-Life Balance:

• EDI is open to discussing flexible working hours and arrangements for staff who need to juggle multiple commitments.

Community and Social Responsibility:

• EDI supports many local events and EDI staff are dedicated and prominent members of the communities we work and live in. We also look for opportunities to support causes that are of interest to our team, including school talks, sports teams and local events.
