Working with Indigenous Communities
Over the past two decades, EDI has collaborated with Indigenous communities across western and northern Canada to build better projects and create lasting relationships. Our interests, passion, experience, and reputation as an honest, approachable, reliable company, enable us to support our Indigenous clients to review major projects, coordinate information gathering efforts, and build opportunities to leave positive community legacies.
At the heart of EDI’s ethic is an appreciation for listening, learning, and sharing. Our success is based on a down to earth philosophy that pursues open dialogue, common ground, and mutual best interests as a means of discovering our collaborator’s needs and how best to address them.
We have a highly skilled team, composed of open-minded staff, with extensive experience working with Indigenous communities. We build project teams that include knowledge holders and specialists from the communities we work with, to ensure we develop solutions grounded in the places we work.
