EDI’s office in Calgary opened its doors in 2014 and continues to grow based on client demand. “From a regional perspective, Calgary is a great location,” states Meighan Kearns, EDI’s Prairies Regional Director. “It’s the corporate headquarters for many of our clients and acts as a hub for shared efforts among our offices in Calgary, Grande Prairie and Saskatoon.”

The Calgary office is a dynamic team of almost 30 individuals, who bring passion and collaboration to every project. This team thrives on camaraderie, taking time to have lunch in the boardroom together, working on puzzles during break times and finding any excuse to eat cake. To promote a healthy lifestyle, they enthusiastically participate in company-wide activity challenges, making wellness a shared priority. Some team members bicycle to work in all types of weather, including the more challenging days of a Calgary winter.

EDI team members in Calgary have a range of skills and expertise in aquatic and terrestrial sciences (including wetlands assessment), regulatory compliance and project management, providing quality environmental services in Calgary and the surrounding area. The Calgary office started with a focus on oil and gas, but has diversified to include renewable energy, mining, urban development and transportation.
