The Vancouver Park Board was looking for strategies to mitigate disturbance to a Great Blue Heron colony during construction and operational activities of the Stanley Park Brewing restaurant and brewery in Stanley Park, Vancouver. EDI reviewed the 2006 Stanley Park Heron Management Plan, conducted a review of the Great Blue Heron colony use and productivity data, identified potential disturbances to the heronry, and developed an addendum to the Management Plan. The Project involved communications with Vancouver Park Board, Parks Canada, Ministry of Environment, Stanley Park Ecological Society, Stanley Park Advocates, and Stanley Park Brewing.
