EDI was retained by TMAC Resources to complete a screening assessment for a proposed wind project at their Hope Bay Property. The Hope Bay mine is located approximately 150 kilometres southwest of Cambridge Bay, Nunavut. The Doris, Boston and Madrid deposits are wanting to move off diesel generators with the proposed installation of six wind turbines to offset the fuel. This is a modification of the existing mine infrastructure and requires an assessment of the potential impacts. EDI also conducted standwatch surveys of birds using the airspace.
