EDI was responsible for managing an update of the provincial Environmental Farm Plan Drainage Management Guide for the BC Ministry of Agriculture. This guide provides environmental guidance to farmers and municipalities on drainage maintenance activities in agricultural watercourses. This 12-year-old document required an update to current legislation, inclusion of best and current management practices and climate change issues. Efforts included solicitation of information from all levels of government and various stakeholders, participation in a drainage forum, and revision of guidance documents.
