Fortis BC expanded their Tilbury 2 Liquid Natural Gas (LNG) plant onto a neighboring property in the City of Delta. This property, while zoned “Special Industrial” was being used for agricultural purposes. EDI conducted an overview environmental assessment of the property and provided environmental monitoring during the construction work. The work included reviewing the Construction Environmental Management Plan and other relevant documentation, such as permits, safety procedures and protocols from Fortis BC, provided on-site environmental monitoring during two phases of the Project, and produced an environmental monitoring report that summarized daily construction activities, environmental concerns and environmental incidents.
