The Cariboo Connector Program in British Columbia involved a four-laning project along Highway 97 South from the Simon Fraser Bridge to Sintich Road. In combination with the new Simon Fraser Bridge, the road was widened to four lanes, with upgrades to relevant stream crossings. The new road was designed by the Ministry of Transportation and constructed in two phases. EDI supported environmental protection permitting by providing a Canadian Environmental Assessment Act [CEAA] Screening Report for the four-laning works, prepared contract documents and specifications, and provided compliance auditing during construction.
