Cariboo Connector

The 4-laning project along Highway 97 South from the Simon Fraser Bridge to Sintich Road was part of the Cariboo Connector Program to improve Highway 97. In combination with the new Simon Fraser Bridge, the road was widened to four lanes, with upgrades to relevant stream crossings. The new road was designed by the Ministry of Transportation and was constructed in two phases. EDI provided environmental protection permitting (CEAA Screening Report for the 4-laning works), prepared contract documents and specifications, and provided compliance auditing during construction.
