Pacific Salmon Foundation Wildfire Playbook

The Pacific Salmon Foundation (PSF) is a non-profit environmental organization dedicated to achieving healthy and diverse populations of Pacific salmon. The PSF Wildfire Playbook is a resource that offers solutions to help salmon and associated habitats recover after wildfires occur.

EDI provided PSF with assistance in the creation of both the Wildfire Playbook and a companion reference catalogue of over 450 reference annotations. Funding for this project was provided by the British Columbia Salmon Restoration and Innovation Fund (BCSRIF).

EDI team members are pleased to have been part of such an important project, particularly given the recent fire situation in western and northern Canada. The Wildfire Playbook represents a significant collaborative effort, not only by PSF and EDI, but also by many agencies, First Nations, and consultants, who are all working toward the same goal of helping salmon recover in post-wildfire environments.
