It is with deep sadness that we acknowledge the passing of our team member, Tricia Korkowski, on March 13, 2026. Tricia was an exceptional person—a dedicated colleague who was always eager to contribute and support the team in any way she could. Tricia was one of the EDI family and we’ll greatly miss her vibrant personality and the warmth of her smiling face in our workplace.
Tricia first joined the EDI team in 2019 and was an integral part of our Nanaimo office. Over the years, she served in several key roles, including Project Administrator, Administrative Supervisor, and Project Office Coordinator. She was known for her incredible work ethic, stellar organizational skills, and a motivation that kept our team systems running smoothly.
Beyond her professional achievements, Tricia brought a unique spirit of teamwork and dedication to everything she did—traits she honed during her years as a professional athlete with Volleyball Canada from 2010 to 2014.
In late 2025, Tricia was diagnosed with Stage IV pancreatic cancer. True to form, she faced this incredibly difficult journey with immense courage, determination, and a selfless desire to help others by participating in a research trial. She leaves behind a young family who were the center of her world.
Tricia’s presence will be greatly missed by everyone who had the privilege of working with her.
