Answering Tough Questions Using GIS

We were recently approached by Esri Canada to provide information for an article in their ArcNorth News publication highlighting the realm of spatial analysis. Luckily, we leverage GIS in many aspects of what we do, from lake/river bathymetry to species-specific habitat indices. Esri Canada focused their attention on a project we had recently presented at the 2017 Esri Canada User Conference in Vancouver, titled: Wildlife Habitat Analysis of North Baffin Island Caribou Herd. The project included collection and integration of Inuit traditional knowledge, development and analysis of cumulative effects, and planning and monitoring for wildlife management.
