About this opportunity:

This is a permanent full-time opportunity for Terrestrial Biologist in our Whitehorse office.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Planning and completing fieldwork related to wildlife, vegetation, and wildlife habitat
• Analyzing and interpreting data and preparing technical reports, memos and other project deliverables
• Assisting with the preparation of project budgets and proposals
• Preparing and supporting our clients with project assessment (YESAA) and permitting of their projects
• Working effectively in a team environment
• Participating proactively in EDI’s health and safety program

We are looking for someone with:

• Operational knowledge of provincial and federal regulatory requirements and processes
• A proven record in completing field work productively and safely
• Strong organizational, time management and interpersonal skills
• The ability to work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
• Experience with project management and client liaison
• Self-motivation and an ability to respond in a fast-paced environment

Job requirements includes:

• A passion for your career
• An undergrad degree with 5 years of experience or Master’s Degree with 3 years of experience in a related discipline
• Terrestrial biology expertise. Experience in consulting would be an asset
• A proven record of professional report writing and data analysis
• Registration or eligibility for registration as a R.P. Bio or as P. Biol. considered an asset
