Project Coordinator/Administrator

We are currently seeking a motivated and organized Project Coordinator/Administrator to join our team in a permanent, full-time role at our office in Prince George, BC. This position plays a key role in supporting project delivery by managing project tasks and making sure the team has the tools, resources and support needed to work efficiently. Part of this position includes administrative tasks, providing the team with adequate support to work effectively. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates strong attention to detail and is comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Supporting the Project Management team through all phases of projects
• Initiating project setup and supporting development of budgets and project teams
• Assisting with monthly project reporting, invoicing and cost estimates as needed
• Coordinating logistical requirements for the project team such as travel and equipment bookings
• Coordinating preparation and distribution of project deliverables
• Supporting review of timesheets and invoices as needed
• Updating Project Managers regularly on project progress (deliverables and budget) and identifying potential challenges and solutions
• Supporting quality assurance/quality control as needed
• Managing information internally and with other EDI office locations and organizations
• Orienting new team members with current administrative practices and procedures
• Data entry and processing of expenses
• Follow-up with clients regarding overdue payments
• Performing project and office administrative duties as required

We are looking for someone with:

• Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Google Systems and Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel, and accounting systems
• A self-directed and proactive approach
• The ability to manage a substantial workload and prioritize tasks
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Job requirements include:

• Relevant experience in environmental consulting, relevant industry sector (e.g., oil and gas, renewable energy), or project management
• Familiarity with time and billing software or ERP system
• College diploma or University degree in a related field would be an asset
• Basic knowledge of project management principles, PMP would be an asset

The typical compensation range for this position is from $52,000–$76,960 annually; the compensation offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity.
