Spectra Energy, in partnership with BG Group, proposes to build a natural gas transportation system originating from northeastern B.C. to serve BG Group's potential LNG export facility in Prince Rupert. If approved, the pipeline will have a size of 36 inch to 48 inch in diameter and will be approximately 850 km in length extending from Cypress in northeast BC to Ridley Island, near Prince Rupert. This system will be capable of transporting up to 4.2 billion cubic feet of natural gas per day.
