EDI’s Down to Earth Biology Scholarship

Achieve Success, Celebrate Exellence... By awarding post secondary achievement, we believe that these ideas can be a reality. We understand that students need financial support to realize their goals; that's why we are proud to announce EDI's Down to Earth Biology Scholarship.

The scholarship is given to a dedicated Yukon College student who not only maintains a high grade level, but can also best describe the role of Yukon's environmental consultants in 500 words or less. Recently, EDI staff (and Yukon College alumni) Gabe Rivest and Alex Mischler attended the Yukon College Student Awards Ceremony where they presented EDI's Down to Earth Biology Scholarship to Christine Spencer (centre), a student enrolled in the second year of the Renewable Resources Management Technology program. Christine moved to the Yukon in 2011, calling Carmacks home until 2014. In 2015, she moved to Whitehorse to attend Yukon College. According to Christine, "most Yukoners have a special connection with the land and place a high value on maintaining its pristine beauty". We couldn't agree more.

Congratulations Christine!
