EDI acquires Langley, BC based consulting firm

May 7, 2013

EDI Environmental Dynamics Inc (EDI) is pleased to announce that it has completed the acquisition of Robertson Environmental Services Ltd. (RESL), a natural resources consulting firm based in Langley, BC.  “The staff at RESL are a great addition to our team,” says Rob Van Schubert, EDI Vice-President.  “We now have even stronger capacity to provide aquatic and terrestrial science services to the windpower, gas pipeline, mining and urban development sectors.  RESL will contribute significantly to the depth and breadth of services we can offer our clients across western and northern Canada.”

“Everyone here is excited about the acquisition because they recognize the opportunity that exists as part of EDI,” says Jennifer Prive, Senior Biologist with RESL who will continue with EDI as the Vancouver Branch Manager.  “We now have direct access to new technical resources and can collaborate with a larger network of professionals.  As part of the EDI team we are able to expand on the scope of services to our clients.”

The transaction closed on February 28, 2013.  The Langley office has merged with EDI’s Vancouver operations and is now relocated to a larger suite right next door to our former downtown location at 1140 West Pender Street.
